System Engineer

Location: Fremont, California

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the position is to coordinate With Field Engineers to solve product issues escalated from customer sites on our ion implanter products by applying the principles and techniques of Mechanical Engineering and Physics.

Duities and responsibilities:

Interact closely with technical suppo1t team and Customers for tool problem analysis and troubleshooting.

Set priority and drive progress of internal cross-functional CIP projects to deliver solution to field in timely manner.

Design and conduct system testing and verification on software and hardware features of our product based on customers’ requirements.

Analyze performance issues reported by the field and propose solutions for the issues.

Confer With R&D department on design concepts (including equipment hardware, electrical, vacuum and control design principles), changes, solutions and improvements to ensure the system efficiency and reliability.

Requirements:

BS degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering or related 5+ years experience as an Engineer Working in semiconductor capital equipment industry with a focus on capital equipment tools management and troubleshooting.

Solid knowledge/experience in semiconductor capital equipment tools design, customer support management and troubleshooting.

A good team player with strong communication skills.

Electrical Engineer

Location: Fremont, California

Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of the position is to develop and support electrical and electronics control system for our advanced ion implantation equipment by applying the principles and techniques of Electrical Engineering and Physics. Identifying improvement areas and provide cost-effective solution; designing, implementing, documenting, and testing new systems; selecting vendors and integrating vendors’ products into our systems; troubleshooting all technical problems and providing with related support; working closely with system designers, system engineers, process engineers, hardware technicians to design and develop modules for controlling hardware and performing signal processing; operating implant tools to test controlling hardware and system designed in R&D lab; and performing the duties by analog and digital design, serial bus (CAN, SPI, RS422/485, 12C, etc), signal processing and control, and C/C++.

Duities and responsibilities:

Design, implement, document, and test new systems.

Select Vendors and integrate Vendors’ products into our systems.

Troubleshoot all technical problems and provide With related support.

Requirements:

MS degree in the field of Electrical Engineering or related 2+ years experience as an Engineer Working in the field of electronic equipment and device design. Experience in semiconductor capital equipment industry is preferred.

Solid knowledge/experience in analog and digital design, serial bus (CAN, SPI, RS422/485, 12C, etc), signal processing and control, and C/C++.

Software Engineer

Job Description:

This position is to develop the software for advanced ion implantation equipment, responsible for the following:

  • Design, implement, document, and test user interfaces, protocol processing, and system control. Applications include modules for framework, recipe, component control, job control, and user management.
  • Maintain, debug, enhance, document, test, and provide life cycle support for existing modules within the application suite.
  • Operate implant tool to test software in R&D and in field.

The candidate must be able to work closely with system designer, support engineer, process engineer, hardware engineer to design, develop, code, and debug software modules for user interface, high-level framework, and controlling sensors, signal processing. The candidate must be a good team player who is comfortable working on complex, cross-discipline projects. Travel to Taiwan is required.

Required Skills:

Must have extensive experience with Visual C++, COM/DCOM protocol, OOD, and OOP.

Must have experience with GUI design and development. Proficient with MS MFC is a plus.

Must have deep understanding of Window OS, real-time system and SW architecture design

Experience with Microsoft.NET is a plus

Good written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently

Flexibility to support changes of approach and task priorities

Ability to work well under pressure

Understand the basic operation of ion implant tool

Degree Field:

Computer Science or equivalent
